EXPLORATIONS
Explorations Program - Program Philosophy

EXPLORATIONS' curriculum blends basic literacy skills, and essential content of college preparatory mathematics, science, language arts and social studies courses with modern career-vocational-technical studies and rigorous outdoor education for grades ten through twelve.

It is our shared belief that a curriculum is organic and must be open to modification as dictated by the learners and teachers involved.  All courses at EXPLORATIONS are designed to develop proficiencies that will foster success in the coming century.  These include not only basic academic skills, but, also, career exploration and hands-on involvement in actual workplace settings as well as self-esteem development.  We challenge our students with outward-bound activities to instill pride in their accomplishments, commitment to their physical well-being, and the sense of achievement through teamwork.
